Markfield Herald New Website

Despite the awful weather, Open Farm Sunday at Little Markfield Farm attracted around 400 visitors on 12th June 2011.
This year, Brenda Featherstone and her family had added extra stalls and attractions, including sheep shearing demonstrations, sausage making and a chance to handle a bird of prey.

BBC Radio Leicester sent their 'Tony Takes Off' team to broadcast their programme live from the farm, and Tony Wadsworth & Co. spent a couple of hours there interviewing visitors and taking part in some of the activities. Tony's wife Julie gave an interesting description of her sausage-making lesson!
